Panoscan Imaging Used to Share Pentagon 9/11 Memorial with Nation

Los Angeles, CA (September 2002) - Panoscan, Inc., a Los Angeles based manufacturer of ultra-high-resolution digital panoramic camera products, today announced the creation of a web site ( that allows the nation, for the first time, to view and experience the 9/11 Memorial located at ground zero at the Pentagon, in Virginia. Panoscan is the exclusive provider of imaging for this memorial web site.

The memorial lists the names of all who lost their lives in the tragedy at the Pentagon on September 11, 2001. Both military personnel and civilians are honored at the site. Included in the memorial is a dedication to the Defense of Freedom Medal, which is awarded to civilian employees of the Department of Defense who have either lost their lives, or been injured in the defense of their country. Another part of the memorial honors the Purple Heart Medal, for those military personnel who have given their lives or have been wounded through enemy hostilities.

A tour of the Pentagon Chapel is available by clicking the doors leading to the chapel from the memorial site. Above the chapel alter is stained glass hand crafted by the family members and loved ones of those who were lost. There is a red piece of glass for each person who died in the tragedy at the Pentagon on September 11, 2001.

Panoscan's ultra high resolution, 360 degree, panoramic imaging enables viewers, on their home or office computers, to zoom in for a close-up examination of all aspects of the memorial, allowing them to read all names and dedications, including an excerpt from an address given by President George W. Bush on October 11, 2001.

The memorial was created by Eagle's Watch Ministries. The web site can be viewed free at
